Summer season has always been a villain to our hair. You need to take deep and sound care for your hair unless you want to damage your hair. Sun rays and especially ultra violet rays and other rays like gamma rays destroys the natural beauty of our hair and make them thin and dry. Excessive sun rays exposure and sweat makes your hair frizzy and knotty. Hair breakage, unhealthy and dull looking hair are the effects. In city pollution makes this problem more annoying. That is why keeping your hair loose and going outside is not a healthier choice. You have to take some precautions in order to save your hair from the damages being made. The summer sun and the summer humidity are your hair's worst enemy. Thus with the advent of summer you start experiencing numerous hair problems like dry hair, split ends, frizzy and brittle hair. All these means its time you start paying attention to your hair. Now look at some simple and easy to follow summer hair care tips:

The first step for taking care of our hair during the summers is to protect it from the direct exposure to the UV rays of the sun. Stepping out into the sun without ...
... taking any sun protection filters for your hair and scalp is the worst thing you can do. Therefore before stepping out of your house put on a hat or a scarf so that you can avoid the direct exposure to the sun. You can also use leave-in hair products with SPF protection. Take a sun protection cream or gel before going outside.

It is better to spend a little more time for your hair and to air dry it. Blow drying your hair or using hot styling tools is not much good for your hair, and in the summer seasons you should avoid them as much as possible. Extra heat makes your tresses dry and brittle.

Wash your hair with a deep cleansing shampoo and dab conditioner on the ends and the frizziest part of your hair. This will help in restoring the lost moisture to your hair. Washing in cold water is always safe for your hair.

During the summers it is better to use natural products rather than using chemical products for your hair. Try to avoid any type of alcohol based products as far as possible as the alcohol present in these types of products makes the hair loose moisture and resulting in brittle rough looking hair with split ends. And regarding the trimming of your hair you should be much religious. Try to trim your hair at a regular interval of six to eight weeks. And there is not much need to mention that a short hairstyle is the best for the summers as not only does it helps in keeping your hair in better condition but also it relaxes the load of hair on your head. Thus it is better to have a short hairstyle during the summers. If you are having long hair try wearing it up in a knot when the summer heat is the hottest. Using buns and braids during the summers are better for your hair.
