How To Find Employment During A Recession

Before you start hunting for a new job, you have to seek a high paying job, at same time be prepared to accept a low paying job. This does not mean you should settle for peanuts.
There is a common notion that your past salary is going to determine your future salary. Well, that notion is not true. The huge job loss despite big salary checks is enough proof. Start up with some job for now and then switch on to something better later on. Do not be too choosey in the beginning, but continue trying though.
There are several methods to find employment during recession here are a few methods:
Search in the newspapers and internet for offers from companies and hiring offices. They are age old methods; however, don't spare it.
Submitting resumes to several hiring companies is one method; however, that is just scratching the surface. You got to follow up with the company and get updated on the status of your application form. Apply to as many companies as possible. In many cases submitting resumes might not yield as good a result. As hiring companies are going to have a master copy of your resume ...
... already grabbed from the internet. However, give it a go too.
Approach the companies individually, and in some cases they are going to redirect you to come through a hiring firm. If you are lucky enough, one of the companies might be willing to meet you in person. Do not mind if your resume has been sent already. Give them a direct visit and tell them you have already given a resume and talk to them about options if available. Perhaps you will land up with an interview and a yes/no option.
Self-employment is another key. Heard of the saying Sweet are the uses of adversity. If you have any kind of alternate skills or hobbies that can be converted to employment give it a go. If not for full-time, it can be a part-time approach for until you find yourself a better job. You might come across different people during this process and they might be impressed about your focus to be engaged always and you might/might not find some references to main jobs that way.
Social media networks are evolving to be places where you can find jobs. These sites provide you with a global access. If you cannot find openings in your zone, try offshore.
You can also try handing over your resumes door to door and also by handing over the resumes to everyone who passes across in the streets. Even if a major of them are going to crush it off some of them might give a look in to it and guide you somewhere.
Talk to your friends and find out if they can recommend any openings in their work place or else where.
Talk to people whom you meet, tell them of what you were doing and tell them you are looking for an option. Perhaps one of them might click. However, don't talk just about job and bore them to the core. Don't feel too desperate for job either. Show a sign of keenness and not desperation.
