Hop Balls, known as a fun children's toy for some time now, are inflated vinyl balls that are built with a handle at the top to allow for a person to hold onto the ball while it bounces around. Hop balls are made in a wide range of sizes, though they are usually found in sizes that are easily used by children. However, there are still many adult sized hop balls around! Hop balls can provide numerous benefits, including entertainment and exercise. The amount of each depends on the attitude and aptitude of the rider, of course! The longer the bouncing, the more the exercise portion comes to fruition - mixing it in with regular workouts can create a low impact mini cardio boost to an already intense routine.

The rider, after choosing a sufficiently sized hop ball, can seat themselves on the hop ball and begin the bouncing with their legs. Upon starting the act of bouncing, the rider will then retract their legs from the ground so as to not interfere with the motions. This creates a state of bounce that is similar to that of a pogo stick, but without the rigidity the pogo stick creates in the bouncing environment. Children ...
... can find this especially pleasing as it is a great way to experience the thrill of bouncing without the fear of hard metal objects creating any opportunities for injury. Although, should an adult want to experience reasonably the same thing, it is entirely feasible for them to! Given the way that the hop ball works, it is best to avoid bouncing in areas where there are sharp objects or obstacles that could be bounced into. Nothing ruins the joy of a hop ball more than having it burst while it is being used! Although, bouncing into a wall is not the ideal way to end a bouncing activity either! Just be sure to keep these things in mind before any hop ball activity is started.

After the hop ball has been used, it is important to store it in a safe place. This included making sure that the hop ball can't be pushed up against something that will pop it, but it also means keeping it in a relatively controlled temperature to avoid expansion and contraction that could potentially ruin the bouncing ability of the hop ball. In extreme cases, leaving a hop ball out in the hot sun could create an explosive situation! For best results, store the hop ball where other gym equipment is kept - ideally, in an open room away from other items.

Hops balls can be amazingly fun for people of all ages and abilities, as long as these tips are kept in mind! Click Here for more info.
