Bad Weather Should Not Halt Surveillance
There is no need to imagine that bad weather will stall anti-social or criminal activities. If anything it will probably increase as miscreants would think that nobody is going to be alert to what is happening outdoors. This is what makes it vital that you should think of investing in a weatherproof bullet camera for outdoor surveillance. This is especially so for public places like playgrounds, parks, car parking areas, the vestibule of large buildings — just about any place where there would be all kinds of people coming and going at all times of the day or night. Weather resistance is measured in either NEMA ratings or IP ratings.
What Does Weather Proof Mean?
NEMA ratings were developed by The National Electrical Manufacturers Association in the US, while IP was developed in Europe. However, IP ratings only consider protection against ingress of solid foreign objects and ingress of water; while some of the NEMA ratings also include protection against corrosion. It works in any weather conditions and even has a built-in heater for areas which experience extremely cold conditions and snowfall. It uses ...
... the latest technology including a high performance camera with a pan tilt zoom lens, rapid repositioning and the ability to automatically adjust for changes in light and object instances.
Most of these cameras can operate as self-sufficient units, meaning that the systems have all the components necessary to view, capture and record video. There are cameras so advanced that they allow the images to be transmitted over the internet. Surveillance cameras are one way of sending a signal to employees and customers that they are under surveillance and not to do anything stupid. The bullet camera is smaller and less visible when in place, making it ideal for conditions where you don’t want to tip people off that an area is under surveillance.
A high resolution bullet camera is essentially a megapixel camera. Megapixel cameras offer wider coverage than an analog camera, but are more expensive. These are great for larger areas such as a parking lot. The larger the number of megapixels the wider the area the camera can cover, with the standard being 2 megapixels. There are models which allow you to uniquely program the position, focus and video settings of the camera, like iris control and shutter speed for each preset mode. You can even pre-set over 100 views in rapid positioning with 360 degrees continuous monitoring with a vertical orientation of 180 degrees. This kind of bullet camera is ideal for department stores, airports, banks, casinos and other high traffic areas.
