Women are the glory and respects of our India. And saree is the perfect traditional attire which embellishes her beauty and exhibits her respect.
India is renowned of its cultural arts & crafts. Especially women love towards Indian sarees is unimaginable, so the weavers of India bestowed their Kundan work to them.
Kundan Work Sarees occupies a best place and plays a significant role in every woman’s wardrobe.
“Kundan” itself spells as “Gold” in Sanskrit language. As like name, it has a golden and royal history during Mughal Era.
As we know that these Kundan Works have their origin in India. During Mughal Era, these are used only as rich adornments in gold ornaments. Mughal rulers expressed their love and passion towards them and wore in every special occasion.
Later, weavers of India started designing sarees with kundan embellishments royally. On that time, Rajasthan, Bihar and Punjab are the only major places producing these sarees.

Earlier, as they were newly entered into the market, women expressed their interest only to wear these sarees rather than jewelleries.
As they use very pure and precious gems, the weavers take a long time to produce these sarees.
Especially to learn this art, artisans from all over the country converged to Rajasthan.
Chiterias, Ghaarias, Enamellers and Goldsmiths are the major craftsmen of these Kundan Works.
Weaving and designing is intricately prepared by the skilled craftsmen. Earlier, Silk, cotton and combination is in the use. Later, georgette and chiffon are being in the use today.
Materials used in Kundan works are beads, pearls, stones, mirrors, crystals, artificial diamonds, rubies, emeralds and different threads. Different shapes like diamonds, mango, flower, circle, triangle, heart and etc shaped Kundans are intricately designed.
Patterns like flowers, trees, waves, peacocks, animals, and other geometrical shapes make these sarees marvellous.
To design, firstly, craftsmen draws a basic design with pen and after completing zardozi embroidery using gold and silver threads, gem stones and pearls are studded on to it by them intricately.
Several innovations being made in Indian Fashion, so the works like meenakari, embroidery and etc are newly arrived and varieties like Sarees, Salwar Kameez, Lahengas, kurtis, Skirts are also designed.
Kundan work silk sarees with zari and thread works are classical, festival and corporate wears. Kundan Works on georgette sarees are the best choices for corporate events.
Kundan work sarees are highly preferred for wedding ceremonies and grand occasions. These sarees with heavy works are apt for the bride. Kundan Work Sarees with white stones and diamonds are best suitable for night parties.
