Cloud is one of the most revolutionary developments in the electronic aspect of the modern age. It received rave reviews and it may have its rocky start, but, eventually, everybody got the hang of it. It was a slow process, but its integration into modern life was worth it.

However, much can still be said about the cloud backup system that most are enjoying, although, majority may still be using the system unconsciously. Yes, most are using the cloud unconsciously because mobile companies have already incorporated the system to devices – smart phones, tablets, and phablets – before they are being made available in the market. In fact, this comes with added features that, again, most do not know about.

Recently however, some users of the cloud found out that some sensitive files which they entrusted to the system, whichever provider they are using, can be found in other accounts. Worse, these are accounts made from a different provider. It caused panic, while others are just concerned, that their files may not be safe; that their files may not be kept privately. Such situation is a cause for concern ...
... because some of the files saved in the cloud backup system by users are private. Examples of these private files are mortgage records, bills, and sometimes, important documents that are necessary for work or the business you are currently running.

If any of these files are leaked, people can easily ruin everything that you stand for, and that is especially important for businesses, particularly those who are looking to move forward.

Another issue that may come up especially in relation to a user’s privacy is the way several gadgets sync with one another, especially those which were purchased by one person. Devices nowadays have been programmed to connect to cloud once it stores files. In that regard, once it uploads the file to the cloud, it is sent immediately to the person’s account. After, it is synced with whatever device that has the same user registered as its owner. As a result, all those which you may have bought, especially if you gave it as a gift, will notify the new owner of a file uploaded to the cloud.

If that is the case, any file will surely be leaked just as easy.

This is the problem with modern technology – it makes everything convenient to a fault. Yes, it does reduce the amount of manual work you have to do uploading files one by one, but, it also makes everything centralized that leaks are done easier than before.

On the other hand, the owner may also be at fault because they might not have turned the internet connection off the device. Do not be lazy. It is just one touch of your fingertips. Turning it off is that easy rather than have a lifetime of regret.

Let us face it, the incorporation of the cloud backup system in devices have been both helpful and harmful in one way or another. However, it has already been incorporated and it cannot be removed. Do your part in protecting yourself, and again, do not be lazy.
