Blackberry Gaining Ground; Includes The Blackberry Battery

Blackberry has been in a slump in the past few years. Their sales have declined, especially with its smart phone sales, and it dropped out of the race in becoming one of the three highest rated companies that produces devices. They were slated to be a competition to look out for especially with already two companies – Apple and Samsung – taking over the airwaves. Bad management and bad decision making resulted in their burn out.

However, Blackberry has seen some recovery in its sales in the past year, and they look to continue riding the momentum.

They are currently working hard in improving their smart phone devices which they are looking to compete with the competition in the iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy series, and in spite being out of the race in the past years, they are very aware of the issues that every smart phone has – battery life.

Battery life has always been an issue that smart phones are currently facing, and in this regard, they are not competing with the two giants. Instead, they are looking into just improving their Blackberry battery from its predecessor, which ...
... admittedly, had a relatively short life span especially with extensive use.

The changes that the company is looking to improve on will be evident with the Q20 classic. They will be making the touch screen display a lot larger than it usually did. As a result, Blackberry will be able to manufacture and install a larger battery size than the previous ones.

If you think about, does it not pique your interest why most companies who are looking to improve on their device’s battery life are looking to make the batteries larger.

The concept is fairly easy – if you have size, then, you may also have power. In the case of these companies such as Blackberry, the larger the Blackberry battery is, the longer it is capable of holding a charge.

A contradicting thought – looking back, didn’t the phones in the past have smaller batteries than the ones that are currently circulated in the market? Then why is not capable of holding a charge better than the ones in the past?

Yes, this is a logical argument. However, you may forget that smart phones are definitely in a different league from the phones available in the past. The settings are different, the display is inclined to becoming more aesthetically relevant, and there are far more features incorporated into the device, thus, it is only understandable that the battery will be drained rather quickly.

In addition, Blackberry should also look into the reports that batteries have been exploding one after another, and it has caused some minor injuries. Although, this is more of a personal use concern, it is still the responsibility of the company to make sure that the Blackberry battery they installed in their devices are made well that they do not burst whenever it starts to deteriorate.

Whether or not they can compete with Apple and Samsung remains to be seen. For now, all they can do is focus with the development of their products, and move up from there.
