Just because you’re not of working age yet, it doesn’t mean you cannot earn a few bucks for yourself, especially during school break. Nowadays, when you need money for phone credits, surfing the web, and even playing a simple mobile game, getting a few extra cash during school break is not a bad idea. In fact, it is actually a very practical and appealing one.

For those who are interested, here’s a teenager’s guide to earning during school breaks.

Get your parents’ consent

Before you go and take part-time work somewhere, you have to inform your parents and let them know what you’re planning to do. It is very important that they understand your situation so that they can talk to you about the possible hazards and working conditions you will be facing beforehand. Aside from this, your parents can also give you important advice on being safe and successful in your money earning activity for school break.

Never engage in any work or money earning activity without informing your parents beforehand because if something goes wrong, they won’t be able to help you.

Look for work from ...
... home

With people and businesses relying heavily on the internet nowadays, you don’t even have to leave home in order to learn how to make money fast. There are plenty of opportunities online that require minimal training, hours, and effort. All you need is a computer, an internet connection, and a quiet place to work.

Some examples of how you can earn money at home include clicking on online ads, creating email accounts, submitting to directories, writing articles, or even simple blogging. They are relatively safe, practical, and very doable by teenagers. Best of all, you can carry out all these while surfing the internet.

Test your entrepreneurship skills

If you don’t feel like answering to a boss, then you can choose to work alone. Learn how to be an entrepreneur by investing on your special skills, talents, or hobbies. Make a profit out of them by sharing them with other people.

For example, if you are a good artist, you can create and design Christmas cards for the holidays and then sell them online. On the other hand, if you’re good with handiwork, you can build some lanterns or other house decors that can be hanged on the Christmas tree.
Baking is also a good alternative. Since cakes and other pastries are especially in demand during the holidays, you can cash in on this if you have a talent for baking.
