The Nokia 5800 Xpress Music, most commonly known as the TUBE, is the first touch screen mobile from the Finns that runs on Symbian S60 5th edition. Tagged as another iPhone killer wannabe, Nokia 5800 XM comes armed and undeniably dangerous.

The TUBE is definitely a looker with its gloss black interface that measures 111 x 51.7 x 15.5 mm and weights 109g, giving it an elongated and slim distinct build. Its 3.2 inch screen features responsive touch, stylus input with tactile feedback and accelerometer sensor for auto rotate. Below the screen are three recognizably Nokia slim keys, the call and end call knobs and in the middle is the Nokia Menu key. This key launches the task manager and other applications with just one touch. But the Tube doesn’t come with the usual multi-tap input keypad instead you can type through its QWERTY keyboard onscreen or through handwriting recognition, which most users find cool.

Located on the right side of the Tube is the volume rocker key which controls (you guess it right) the volume and serves as the zoom lever of the camera too. Also located on the right side is the nice projected Shutter key which gives a distinct half-press feel. And of course what is an Xpress Music Nokia phone without stereo speakers? Located in both end of the left side of the Tube are the stereo speakers that give crystal clear Hi-Fi and superior surround sound.

The Nokia 5800 XM is also armed with 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera that comes with dual LED flash, which can capture sharp, crisp and high quality images. This same camera can also record smooth landscape 30fps video clips. And what great about this, is that you can upload and share your pictures and videos in the internet through its 3.5G connection. Plus, it is also equipped with social networking access, WiFi technology and GPS maps functions.

Another cool feature of this smart phone is that you can expand the memory to up to 16gb, but what is surely great about it is that there is an 8gb microSD memory included in the phone package. This phone is also equipped with the usual most commonly used phone features like Bluetooth 2.0, USB port, MMS, GPRS, FM Radio, JAVA games, pod casting and a secondary camera for video calling. Plus it comes in three hot in-box colors, red, black and blue.

Nokia 5800 XM is definitely worthy of all the anticipation, bringing a new standard on one touch generation. This might first land on the movie The Dark Knight but this will definitely stay on the land of real mobile fanatics.
