Chhole are white chickpeas, a variation of black chickpeas, and is considered a diet for healthy, it is generally not recommended to people having slow digestion or digestive problems. For those who have healthy digestive system it is a nutritious diet which provides about 170 calories per servings. This food is high on minerals and supplements Manganese, Folate, Iron, Magnesium, Calcium, Copper, Phosphorus and Zinc in high quantity. Apart from minerals it is also good source of vitamin B-6 and C. Chhole with Rice form a quick, tasty and solid meal and these are also accompanied by Raita or plain Curd for better taste and more nutrition. Chhole are also served with Aloo Tikki and Kulcha with sweet and spicy Chutneys to titillate taste buds. Practically Chhole can go with any Indian Traditional food like Rice, Roti, Parantha, Tikki, Kulcha and even with simple bread and yet taste very good, Chhole Masala Powder provides mouth-watering aroma and make it a delectable dish.

... utilized even today; however each time making Masala powder before making Chhole is cumbersome hence either you can make and store Chhole Masala Powder or purchase readymade Chhole Masala Powder from any grocery store for tasty and aromatic dish. To make Chhole Masala Powder at home you can follow these simple steps. Take Cumin Seeds 2 tablespoons, Caraway seeds 1 tablespoon, 5 whole dry Red Chili, 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon Coriander seeds, half tablespoon Black pepper corns, 10 Cloves, 1 tablespoon white Sesame seeds, 10 Green Cardamoms, 5 Black Cardamom, 2 pieces of Dry Ginger, 1 tablespoon dry Mango powder, 5 -1 inch sticks of Cinnamon, Bay leaf 2, Star Anise 1, half teaspoon of Nutmeg powder and half tablespoon of Rock salt. Heat a flat pan with a lid, dry roast all the spices except the ones in powder form one by one, cover the pan when roasting Sesame seeds as these pop when heated. When all the spices are completely crisp and roasted let them cool down, grind them together to form a powder. Add other spices in powder form and mix them well. Store the resulting powder in an airtight container for future use. You can use this Chhole Masala Powder in place of all the spices while cooking Chhole.
