How To Make Delicious Fruit Chat At Home?

Generally Chat is classified as junk food which has almost nil nutrients and is just for tantalizing taste buds; at best these are reckoned as appetizers. Though this concept may be correct to a large extent but not completely, Fruit Chat is one dish which is a form of Chat but rich in nutrients and low on fat which also enhances appetite and is toothsome. The secret of Chat's unique taste lies in the use of spices which are quite a few in numbers and are used in definite quantities and combination in different dishes to provide smacking taste. To make delicious Fruit Chat select fruits which are sweet in taste and acidic in nature, one can choose any set of fruits depending on the season and taste habits. Assemble fresh and sweet fruits or select those mentioned in recipe below to make nutritious and delicious dish.

Take 1 cup Papaya, three-forth cup of Pineapple cubes, 1 cup Apple cubes, half cup Banana cubes, 4-5 Indian Gooseberry chopped in four parts, one-forth cup of black and green Grapes, 1 cup of Cucumber peeled and diced, 10-12 Cherries cut into two, half cup Tapioca peeled and diced, 1 tablespoon coarsely ...
... grounded Coriander and 2 green Chilies finely chopped. For seasoning prepare Green Chutney, it is very simple, take a cup of fresh Coriander leaves and a cup of fresh Mint leaves. Take one whole Green chili and add Black salt and Salt to taste. Add some water and grind all the ingredients together to form a consistent paste. Similarly take Dates and Tamarind and grind them to make Chutney sweet in taste, some like it with a hint of Salt or Black salt.

Take one-forth teaspoon of Black salt, half teaspoon roasted Cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon of Chat Masala, one-forth teaspoon Chili powder, half Tablespoon Lemon Juice and Salt to taste. Add all the fruits in a big bowl and add a tablespoon of Green Chutney and 1 tablespoon of Sweet Chutney. Add other spices and juices and toss all the ingredients. Do not stir as crushed fruits will not taste good. When all the fruits are well covered with spices and juice serve it as a healthy and tasty brunch. It can also be served after meals as food balancer or before meals as an appetizer. If seasonal fruits are used in this dish it gives you top class nourishment and also work as easy way to put some fresh fruits inside the system of your kids.
