Music is an integral part of life and the present day music on CDs and MP3 players can never match the joy of old melodies and old records. This need not be a cause for melancholy anymore. Just like most things retro, vinyl records are also making a comeback these days. Now the past glory of the records can be brought alive again and this adds to the joy of record collectors, no doubt. Today, almost all music companies, big or small, release vinyl records and almost all new releases have a vinyl version now.

Vinyl records are no more a thing of the past

There was a time when vinyl record pressing was the only way to get music. However, there have been a lot of changes in the music industry since then; and from analog craving old-timers to teenager who are looking to get trendy, almost everyone has jumped on the vinyl bandwagon. It is a pleasant fact that the old time charm is coming back and gaining more and more popularity in the present times. Though vinyl pressing was a possibly lost art up to a few years back, today the scenario is changed and we see music lovers being more and more in favour of vinyl records. ...
... Nostalgic and special, this classic form of enjoying music is possibly ready to be back for good.

The working of the vinyl record

A vinyl record is an analog recording. Sound waves are transferred to a sensitive stylus that cuts a groove on a wax record when it vibrates because of the sound waves. This is the basic functioning of vinyl record pressing. The record needs to be placed on a record player for it to be played. The needle or stylus on the record player goes back over the groove which was originally cut into the record. When this happens, the sounds which had originally caused the grooves to be formed are created again by transferring the vibrations to a diaphragm in a speaker. The speaker then picks up and amplifies the sound so that music is heard.

Professionals printing vinyl records

There are professionals who are engaged in printing vinyl records that are customized for you. They also partner with the best vinyl record pressing plants so they can providethe best quality and pressed wax; and they print and package everything in their commercial printing department. They offer 7” vinyl records (45 rpm) and 12” vinyl records (33.3 rpm) too. Some of them even give free digital downloads and even store your requirements if you want them to, for future printing convenience. Most of them also ship the records to you; some free, some for a fee.
