Layar, a Dutch mobile augmented reality (AR) development house, recently announced in a Press Release dated April 28 2010 that they would be launching the world's first mobile marketplace for AR content. They intend the marketplace as a mobile platform app store allowing the purchase and download of the content to your iPhone or Android phone so you can finally have all of the electric augmented reality excitement you can afford.

However, word is that Android 2.0 will change this. The new browser will have a "double tap to zoom" feature that will help many people out. It is also much faster, according to the leakers (Boy Genius Report was the first place I heard of the leak). A smoother, faster web browser is perhaps what I am looking forward to the most in Android 2.0 Eclair.
