Changing Trends Of Dress For Wedding

Although trend for a dress for wedding changes with every season but there is no doubt a settled trend that a bride desires to look unique and distinguished in her wedding gown or dress. In past centuries, only the elite class was capable of buying stuff of purple, true black or red thus only well beings ladies could have worn expensive dresses with precious jewels. The bride must glitter in the light of sun. A dress with graceful sleeves or train in the past was taken as a representation of high class whereas the other classes were bound by their own means to wear ordinary colors. They usually wore dress for wedding prepared in factory because costs were not in their capacity to be afforded. There were no wedding dress suppliers at that time and if there were some, poor families were not able to get access to the same.
With changes in trends and fashion wedding gowns with bright colors were replaced by gowns with white colors or some colors with base of white that was later also replaced with blue color that acquired a special attention and place. In the beginning of 19th century gray color became a color accepted by ...
... most of brides as a color for their dress for wedding. There was a mind set in those days that a wedding dress is not a dress for one day party and it should be in that style that it could be worn after wedding as well.
Earlier to 19th century there was no concept of ‘traditional’ wedding gown or dress. In that period machine manufactured dresses make it a trend to wear a white dress to be used on a wedding party. As discussed above there was no wrong in wearing a wedding dress after the occasion of wedding in fact it was a trend of that time.
With passage of time, trends of dress for wedding also changed. Long dresses supported with train or without it like Hems rose & fell was a style that got enough attraction from the brides. Sleeve lengths as well as neck styles were replaced by the upcoming styles and modern trends. There remained a contest between fuller sleeves, tight sleeves and sleeveless. Many designs and patterns were followed in different intervals of time.
In the present era, when there is a proper field of dress selection and wedding dress suppliers are competing to each other it cannot be said that a fashion of morning will remain accepted in the evening. The strapless dresses are the most liked wedding dresses but these are suitable for a specific figured body. Though modern trends are much bright, fascinating, elegant and graceful but yet there is a special place for old gowns of past times.
