In Japan Qui Jin's first activity was to unbind her toes, an immensely distressing, bloody act she'd later explain in Narratives of the Jingwei Chicken (1905-07). 1 of several revolutionaries overseas, Qui composed for radical diaries around the requirement train and emancipate Chinese girls, and participated in the strategies for the revolution to come, the very first girl to join the republican celebration Ko Ming Tang.
