Mahabaleshwar

Today, Mahabaleshwar is a popular for holiday resorts and honeymoon spot, and an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. It is the site of Mahabaleshwar Temple. Many tourists visit nearby Panchgani. After the construction of a new highway, it is only a five-hour drive from Mumbai. Mahabaleshwar is also known for the honey and strawberries produced here. One can visit strawberry farms to enjoy the real flavour of the fruit. It is said that the climate of Mahabaleshwar is ideal for Strawberries and Mulberries. One can also get a taste of "Strawberries with Cream" (season:Jan -Feb) or "Mulberries with Cream" (season: April–May).

Boats on the Venna Lake Mahabaleshwar.

The Venna Lake is one of the major tourist attractions of Mahabaleshwar. The lake is surrounded by trees on all sides. A late winter evening boat ride through the slight fog is well appreciated. Day 1 : Mahabaleshwar
Arrive at Pune / Mumbai Railway station / airport. Meet and Greet and proceed for Mahabaleshwar. Mahabaleshwar is a famous hill station in India. This hill station is full of visitors through out the year. Its valleys and chills are mesmerizing. It is also famous for world famous farming of strawberry. Arrive at Mahabaleshwar, after Hotel Check in, fresh up and proceed for Site Seeing. In evening return to Hotel. Over night halt at Mahabaleshwar.

Day 2 : Mahabaleshwar-Pratapgadh
After breakfast proceed for fort Pratapgadh. This is fort where maratha warrior Shri Shivajiraje Bhosle killed the Afjalkhan. Afternoon return to Hotel. Take rest in afternoon. In evening proceed for boating and Panchgani site seeing. Night halt at Mahabaleshwar.

Day 3 : Goa
After breakfast proceed for Goa. On the way visit Sri Mahalaxmi Mandir, Kolhapur. Sri Mahalaxmi Mandir is one of the 3 and ½ Shaktipeeth in India. Take blessing of Mother Mahalaxmi and proceed for Goa. Reach Goa in late evening. Check in Hotel. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 6 : Goa (Optional)
After breakfast visit Mangeshi temple. This day is for little bit of relaxation. Therefore sight seeing is optional for you. If you want to stay at Hotel and enjoy the nearby beach, you are the master mind of this day. In evening one hour cruise on river Mandovi. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 7 : Goa – Mumbai/Pune (Gao – Pune is 450 k.m. and Goa-Mumbai is 600 k.m)
After breakfast start return journey to Mumbai/Pune. Arrive Mumbai/Pune in late evening and board your train/plane. Or else return directly from Goa to your origin city.
