Use Lace Wigs Instead Of Damaging Your Hair With Permanent Color
I like my own natural hair but there are times when I feel the need to change the hair style or perhaps the hair color without subjecting it to any damage. I would normally use hair extensions until I came across lace wigs. I haven't turned back to using extensions after. Those of you who might have been wearing weaves will know that it can make your hairline thin out. With the old-fashioned weaves it is not possible to tie your hair up in a ponytail and clip it at the back. And then I found lace front wigs.
I would be looking at celebrities like Oprah, Beyonce, and Tyra and would keep wondering how they got their hair to look so good at all times. Was it that their hair was such good quality? Or did they have a stylist that made their hair look so great? Then, I discovered lace front wigs. And then all my dreams of having beautiful hair came true. After a little bit of experimenting, you will find the best ways to select, use and take care of lace wigs.
Lace front wigs are the most practical kind of hair wigs or hairpieces available in today's marketplace. But the price to pay to have a custom fitted lace wig ...
... is high so this fashion style was restricted to the celebrities all this while. But today it has become an affordable option and it is now accessible for all types of people's budgets. Also, a woman would be spending quite a lot for a new weave. Since the lace wigs can last as long as two years if worn once in a while and up to six months if worn often, it would definitely be a worthwhile investment. Lace wigs are made by using human hair that is sewn onto a cap made of lace thus producing a natural hairline making the wig undetectable.
The main characteristic is the hairline and roots and when parted, it looks as if the hair is growing out right from the scalp itself. This is because each hair is sewn by hand onto the lace cap or base of the lace wigs. The two most frequently used lace front wig bases are polyurethane for the thin skin look and lace. Lace bases are delicate but then they allow the skin to breathe. Lace bases include Swiss lace, French lace and Lux Illusion. The Lux Illusion makes use of a special triple knot method that makes sure the knot is not visible at all so it looks like the hair is coming directly out of the scalp. French lace is made with bigger squares and the lace material is thicker.
Swiss lace is made from material that is thinner than the French lace and as smaller squares. Lace wigs of both Swiss and French laces are good for normal to very active lifestyles. They are great for the short term wear but French lace front wigs are more commonly used.
