How To Avoid Get-rich-quick Scams
There are many different get-rich-quick scams that you have to be weary of. While some opportunities online can help you get-rich-quick with lots of hard work and study, there are a lot of scams that you have to identify and discard.
Get-rich-quick scams come by every day and in overwhelming numbers. This is because the internet is a way where you can reach large amounts of people at little or no cost at all. You can pretty much tell these email recipients anything you want, and some people catch on to what you are saying.
If you want to know the reason why so many people get scammed on these get-rich-quick schemes, look no long further then to the original get-rich-quick promise, casinos. At a casino, it is the thrill of winning a lot at one time and losing it in the same night or even multiple times a night. With a get-rich-quick scam, it is more like giving someone hope for a brighter future. It also invokes a sense of duty or a feeling as if one is doing what is the best for themselves and their families, while looking at others as they are not. This can provide the person being scammed with increased confidence ...
... as well as an increased sense of hope. This hope can work against the person who is being scammed because they will keep investing and investing so that way the hope can keep alive. If they stop paying on the get-rich-quick scam, they run the risk of losing out if the scam is in fact true.
Nigerian email scams are the get-rich-quick scams most people get on a daily basis, if not multiple times a day. They are the ones where a son of a sheik or a wealthy arms dealer needs to smuggle money into an American bank account and will offer 10% or 25% to the person that is willing to take the money. Then one of two things usually happens. One thing that they do is send someone a check for a certain amount of money. They want you to deposit it in your account, take out 50% of the amount and send it back to them. Then a few days later, it is found out that the check bounces and the person ends up having to pay back the bank for the amount they sent back to the scammers. The other get-rich-quick method that scammers like to use is to tell the person getting scammed that there are people to pay off or different transaction fees before their share of money is sent to them.
Get-rich-quick scams are a very serious issue. They are on many news articles and are featured all the time in order to objectify the people that have been scammed. The most honest news report that I have seen on the issue is the Dateline NBC report To catch an identity thief. It features Chris Hanson where he finds people that have gotten scammed and shows them that any kind of person can fall for a get-rich-quick scam and that nobody is immune. Chris also follows many scams from fruition until conclusion, when he reveals to the perpetrators of the get-rich-quick scheme that he knows of the plan and that they are on camera before all of America to see.
Like I said before, there are lots of opportunities online to get-rich-quick, but while you do get-rich-quick, you need to invest a lot of work and attain lots of knowledge in order to succeed. In a get-rich-quick scam, there is no way to succeed. They feed on the genuine nature of humans to hope, dream and aspire to help their families. Heed my warnings and if you see any of what I have mentioned on this article, you might want to take a second look at where you're putting your pocketbook.
