There are many easy options and methods to build up your muscle strength, however easy is not always easy as it really depends on where you are with your overall fitness. One of the most effective ways to increase your strength is by doing weight lifting by using free weights and weight machines. To reach your goal you need to come up with a solid training plan as otherwise your efforts will not be honored. When it comes to building up your strength by doing regular weight lifting, there are quite a few different approaches you can use to set up your workouts and how to select the most effective exercises. The most training approach is to perform three to five different weight lifting exercises - one for each muscle group. Each group will involve up to ten repeat exercise for best results. Start low when you are not very well trained and missed a few exercises over the years, increase your workout level as you progress.

Some of the best exercises to build up your muscle strength are compound exercises such as bench press or military press. Of course you need to do squats, dead lifts, and other related exercises, too. ...
... These exercises involve multiple muscle groups at the same time and provide the greatest amount of work on your muscles - therefore resulting in the best possible results. All these statements are assuming you use a heavy enough weight and push the envelope a little further on a recurring base. Another way to do strength training that works incredibly well to build up your strength, is the so-called static contraction training method.

The so-called static contraction technique is quite different from normal, conventional exercise workouts. With the static contraction technique, your workouts to build strength are much shorter than your normal exercises, but much more intense at the same time. As an example you can perform five to ten seconds of static holds using a very heavy weight in the highest range you can lift. So, how does this work? Instead of moving the weight through the full range of the normal motion, you simply perform a static hold on the weight. This allows you to use much heavier weight loads to stimulate body strength and muscle growth.
