The first Association for NLP (ANLP)
In the UK the first democratic and not for profit Organization of Neuro-linguistic Programming was once a starting point if you are looking for quality training.
Membership of ANLP was formerly just open to (1) individuals who held certificates from organisations that offer complete-syllabus, full-length trainings and (2) organisations which provided full-syllabus, full length trainings.
In 2001 ANLP dropped the first requirement that would-be members need to have completed a training of 120 presence hours by a Certified NLP Trainer.
In late 2002 ANLP ceased 'recognising' any trainings.
In March 2003 they opened membership to anybody who had attended any sort of NLP training provided that they held a certification. ANLP was later dissolved as a democratic and not-for-profit organisation owned by its own members - was subsequently resurrected as a private commercial business.
Important: ANLP has been changing radically in the last few years and contains now reestablishing itself as a certification body.
