Located in Almaty, the Kazakhstan Engineering-technological University or as many people know it, Kazetu, is a highly acknowledged institute for higher level studies in fields of engineering and technology. Founded in year 2001, kazetu is built over a land of 1.5 hectares offering degrees in top technological fields. The university was built with an aim to award degrees in engineering sector and IT subfields according to the international standards. In year 2002, the college was set up for graduate programs offering degrees in almost 20 fields. Approximately two hundred highly educated and experienced faculty members have joined Kazetu to help the institute complete its mission of educating students of Kazakhstan in with latest knowledge and skills required in the job market.

... functions. Parties, spring ball, and musical events are often organized in auditorium as it is well equipped with latest music and sound system. Seminars and workshops are also organized in the main auditorium and its purpose is fully utilized. The reception is located on the 2nd floor and two large halls can also be found on the same floor for seminars and lectures. The university has centralized surveillance and sound system for making important announcement and keeping an eye on the ongoing activities over the campus. There are restrooms at each floor where students can sit and take a break from their routine. Restrooms are fully furnished and centrally air conditioned. Classrooms are located on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors which are spacious and have all the required facilities which a modern classroom should have. There are auditoriums, science and computer labs, and rest rooms at each floor for the convenience of students. Labs have latest technology computers and high speed internet so that both staff members and students can surf internet to make assignments and projects.
KazETU’s active student life
Student’s life at KazETU’s campus is highly active and students are motivated to do something productive from time to time. Various seasonal and annual events are launched by student communities and societies to get a break from the academic routine. These activities and events provide valuable opportunities to students so that they can polish their creative skills and not only excel in academics but in extracurricular activities too. Charity events are also launched to help many deserving sections of society and fund raising concerts and plays are also organized regularly.
Free grants
Students who cannot afford to pay the fee can apply for fee grants which allow students to study for free. Government grants and university grants are available and application forms can be downloaded from the university’s site.
