‘Slow and steady wins the race’ is a phrase we hear since childhood. This phrase signifies that the ones who plan and move step by step can taste success after some point of time. This phrase perfectly captures Arvind Kejriwal and his just a year old Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). AAP was born a year ago in 2012. On January 13, Patkar confirmed the news of joining AAP to media. She said that she will completely support AAP who will debut in the Lok Sabha Elections. Her decision to join AAP seems to be a big pronouncement that will help her social movements to get on the right track simultaneously providing lots of other help to her. While announcing her support to AAP she clarified that she is inclined towards the ideologies that the party carries with it and that parliamentary politics is needed for her social movements to go ahead. She even shared that each small and big issues of the party was admired by her and thus this made her to join the party. Medha Patkar and AAP is scheduled to sit for a national-level meeting with the representatives of the party on January 16 and January 17. This meeting will decide on her candidature in the Lok Sabha polls along with the other details on campaigning and on other candidates.

Earlier the party received some other eminent personalities under their premises. V Balakrishnan, the board member of Infosys and also an upcoming CEO of the company quitted his job last month and joined AAP. Similarly, in Mumbai, banker Meera sanyal, the Harvard Business School-educated head of Royal Bank of Scotland, has quit her job to join AAP.

With so many brilliant individuals leaving their job and joining a political party is bringing the party great acclaim. The removal of corruption as its campaign spear head AAP is getting enormous support from not only the common people but also from some of the eminent personalities.
