Engineering (Civil Branch) is one of the most popular jobs in the present scenario. The course is of four years duration. Each semester is of six months duration. This has been done so as to give the students a good idea of the various aspect of the engineering. The candidates will not only get theoretical knowledge but also practical exposure. They will be taken on industry visits and this will help in enhancing their knowledge considerably. The students will also have to complete two major projects on the subject so as to get a good idea about the area in which they will be working in future.

For getting admission in the course, the student must maintain an aggregate of fifty percent marks in the class ten and twelve board examinations. They must also have a combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the class twelve board examinations. JEEMAIN is also conducted in the institutions to select the best candidates for the course. After the initial screening of the students is done in this process, the counseling of the students is done on the basis of the merit list. The well ranked students are given more preference over the other candidates. Then they are selected on the basis of the performance in the counseling session.
