The 2014 Jeep Compass is designed to give drivers a car like feel with its capability and fuel economy, while being an affordable compact SUV. The Compass comes in three variations to choose from; the sport, the Latitude and the Limited. Notable changes from the previous SUV models by the Jeep brand include the all new six-speed PowerTech automatic transmission, the updated interior and exterior, and the seat-mounted side airbags that enhance driver and passenger safety in the front seat.

The brand new 2014 Jeep Compass boasts an upscale interior that features a contemporary style to its fabrics and stitching made of soft-to-the-touch materials on the arm rests. The instrument panel displays a decorative 'Compass' badge. The steering wheel and dashboard is wrapped in leather with chrome accents around the buttons and an all-around speaker system that ensures everyone in the vehicle hears what's playing. The Jeep is also equipped with a power sun roof and gives plenty of space in the back.

As for the tires, the Compass features a choosing of 16-in or 17-in cast aluminum tires, as well as 18-in painted pocket cast aluminum wheels; all of which include the 'Jeep' printed logo right in the center.

Drivers can also enjoy the road for up to 400 miles when the gas tank is full. The Compass comes with a 2.0L Dual VVT World Engine that offers up to 30 HWY MPG that offers 158 horsepower and 141lbs-ft of torque. Drivers also have the option of choosing a model with a 2.4L Dual VVT engine that gives off 172 horsepower and 165lbs-ft of torque. The 2.4L comes with a new smooth-shifting 6 speed transmission that's automatic and gives off only 3 HWY MPG less than the other option. With the latter equipped, the Compass can tow up to 2,000 pounds.

The Compass is extremely versatile in many ways, including being able to adapt to any environment drivers may need to take it on, including snow, mud, sand, and rock. The basic warranty covers Roadside Assistance shall you need it.

The Jeep features an advanced Uconnect Navigating System that uses an intuitive user interface with lane guidance. And as far as new safety features go, the Compass offers all-around protection at any angle with six airbags, with ones being placed on the side to protect drivers and passengers from side collisions. The new ParkView Back-Up Camera gives drivers a rear-view video with grid lines, while Hill Start Assist prevents the vehicle from rolling away when on an incline regardless of whether it's uphill or downhill. The compass also features a strengthened steel crossbeam, door guard beams, front fog lights, low tire pressure warning, rear window defroster, variably intermittent wipers, rear window wiper, and engineered crush zones to further protect the driver and passengers while they're in their vehicles. All together, the new model comes equipped with more than 30 safety features in all.

Some of the additional safety and security features available on the Compass models are; electronic stability, a security system, immobilizer, overhead airbags, brake assist, panic alarm, occupant sensing airbags, dual front impact airbags, ABS brakes and traction control.

Such standard features such as speed control, front and rear beverage holders, CD player with an AM/FM radio and MP3 decoder, audio controls mounted on the steering wheel (only available on the latitude and Limited Compass editions), with DVD-audio coming standard on the limited edition Compass, and being able to be added on the Sport and Latitude editions for a price.
