Arson A Punishable Crime

Arson is a crime and people commit it for number of reasons. This crime is severely punishable all over the world. The reason the person who has committed this crime is severely punished because that person is putting not only life but the property of other person at risk.
Definition of Arson:
Arson is an intentional and willful act of damaging or destroying property by setting it on fire. This property may be anything a home, shop or any type of structure.
Important things top note about Arson:
1. There should be lighting of fire as fire is considered as main element of arson. If there is no fire lit, arson is not committed.
2. There should be willfulness and intention to set the thing on fire. Accidental fire or fire cause fur to natural factors are excluded.
3. Fire which has been started intentionally but where the intention is legitimate or positive it does not fall under the category of arson.
4. There should be some object or property which is set on fire or burned.
