The technologically savvy group will be impressed with Chevy’s latest attempt to keep up with vehicle technology. The 2014 model year promises to be a great one with new car enthusiast beaming about changes coming to many popular Chevy models: Apple's Siri system will now come standard. The high tech system is “eyes free” meaning a person can control it with their mouth and hands and never has to take their eyes off the road. Teaming up with Apple is a large step for the Chevy. There are more than 2.5 million customers who are currently using iTunes Pandora services, and Apple plans on allowing customers to continue to enjoy all the aspects of their services in a car operating system.

What Models Will Be Equipped?
Currently, only a few cars are equipped with this system: the Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet Spark EV and the Chevrolet Sonic. In 2013, the market will expand and Chevy will put the Siri System on the Chevy Equinox SUV, the Chevy Volt, the sporty Chevy Camaro, Chevy Cruse and the ever-so-popular Chevy Malibu. While General Motors is the first car manufacturer to integrate this system into a few trial cars, it is anticipated that the following will be huge and soon all cars will come equipped with Apple’s Siri Services.

This system will replace current navigation systems and other popular features on the dash. Car manufacturers have always had to design the dash around functionality and looks, but with Apple involved, this system may dictate the looks of the car’s dash area. Systems have certain specifications and the dash needs to be designed for the system and not the system for the dash. Chevy hopes that putting such an amazing and user friendly system on their cars will be an attraction to boost sales. It certainly sounds alluring to the business personnel and those who are considered to be technological buffs.
