You would think that the typical Las Vegas vacation would be to gamble yourself silly with nothing else to do but that, on the contrary, Vegas is a playground for all ages, young and old. Vegas started to come to life in the 60's and 70's, an all adult playground only meant for a crowd over 21 with glitzy casino's, extravagant shows and bars that were opened 24/7, Vegas was meant for adults. That was then. This is now. Just recently in the early 90's was when the Casino's began to attract a completely new crowd, Families. Casino owners came to realize that they could attract the round-the-clock gamblers and high rollers while emphasizing on families

Many Casinos' now are kid friendly, offering play areas with supervision so mom and dad can go play as well; there are tons of restaurants that offer a kids menu, kid friendly shows, theme parks, and roller coasters in the shape of taxi cabs, a shark reef exhibit, pirate shows, lion habitats and much much more. Don't get it wrong; the adult playground feeling still persists but now the adults and kids alike can experience Vegas at its finest, the strip has reinvented its image ...
... as a family friendly location. There are still high end restaurants and night clubs than just about any other small area in the United States, the money and champagne flows very freely, still. If you have teenagers there may be a problem; they are off limits to drink and gamble and a trip to Vegas may entice them to try adult forms of entertainment. We suggest that if you have a family of teens, you may want to try another destination that would fit the bill of teen entertainment.
