Today, fuel truck OBC (On board computer) is really a vital part of industrial automation. It is vividly used to exchange information between the back office, vehicles and operators. With the recent growth of portable handheld devices such as wireless industrial remote control, fleets have new options to extend the range of data capture. This special wireless industrial remote control system is manufactured for fuel delivery fleets management.

Now many fleets with multistep pickup and delivery routes already are using handheld computers to capture data outside the vehicle. When making a release, an operator scans a barcode on the shipping label, notes any expectations such as damages or limited, and captures an electric signature for proof of delivery. With the help of the cellular network, the office receives the data directly for planning and billing.

Literally speaking, now truckload carriers also often have a need to capture data outside the vehicle inspections and proof of delivery. Now companies that traditionally have developed in-cab or on board computing platforms are offering more preferences for mobility. ...
... Now all handheld devices are equal especially in harsh transportation environments. Rugged devices manufactured by different companies and others are designed to withstand the drops, shocks and other realties of the job.

Besides the fuel truck OBC system hardware’s durability, its computability with software applications is another consideration. Now there are lot of standalone applications for electronic logs and proof of delivery are available on consumer style Apple and Android platforms. Now a number of companies are offering fuel truck OBC system that have integrated at their in cab software with devices to capture data outside the vehicle. This unique device is specially designed to seamlessly interface with all truck system.

Now professional engineers have developed bulletproof connections to the electric registers, the radio control system the driver authorization system, tank gauge, and engine telematics. The device also has built in GPS satellite, cellular and Wi-Fi ability plus mapping and routing.

The device is seamless, and has a reliable interface to electronic registers. The engineers have collaborated with register manufactures to deliver a high performance link between the register and back office. In addition, the loading rack volumes are captured and reconciled against a detailed sales transaction record by database. The device is absolutely user friendly. There is a delivery ticket is formed for each delivery and an electronic version of every transaction is uploaded wirelessly to the back office.

This on board computer interfaced to an electronic register and also to the trucks additive injection system. An electronic driver log and connection to the trucks engine, brakes, speedometer and odometer fed operator behavior, chassis telematics and customer delivery data to the back office via satellite.

If the customer account information contained on the RFID tag corresponds with trucks current GPS coordinates and database customer information an authorization message is transmitted back to the handheld display allowing the operator to initiate the delivery. Now any attempt to unload product without a match between database and the RFID tag data is red flagged. There is an omission report is produced in the delivery record showing all the documents.

BASE Engineering designs excellent fuel truck OBC technology for different engineering and commercial purposes. Since 1996 over 50,000 BASE systems have been employed around the globe to increase job safety and productivity. As a result of this design effort we have the confidence to offer a four year, no hassle, and replacement warranty on every wireless industrial remote control we manufacture. For more information please visit www.baseng.com
