It is mostly due to the advent of affordable and technologically sophisticated electric powered RC helicopters, the interest is coming to new heights! Back in the day, which wasn't just that much long ago, the alternative was limited to gas driven copters, and if you either didn't have the cash or skill to withstand all the gas and oil fumes and dirt, you just went looking for something that does just a little more. The idea of soaring mini-versions of real helicopters has always captured the fantasy of many people, but only those with deeper understanding of the technology and the pockets to afford it could buy these products. Almost every quadcopter can now handle Lithium Polymer electric battery or what is more commonly known as Li-Poly battery, permitting them to stay flying as long as their gas counterparts. Easier to obtain, most electric powered RC helicopters use only 2,3 or 4 channels, making getting suspend of this a lot simpler. And another cool thing about quadcopter is that the technology is getting all the more advanced, with newer, mightier and very easily manageable products hitting the shelves with each passing day. And another wonderful thing about electric RC helicopters, and is that they are much more easily available, now found in most toy shops and not only in interest shops, as most gas driven models are.
