Choosing Bordeaux: Living In This Diverse Global City
If you're looking for another place to live in, chances are your options are down to two: Australia or Canada. Sure, the most livable cities in the world may be in these two large countries, but the ones found in some parts of France are absolutely not to be disregarded. The city of Bordeaux, in particular, is a point of interest for those seeking to live in a place where convenience and lifestyle meet.
A Diverse City
Bordeaux is famous for being the capital of fine wine. It is the leader of the world's wine industry and it produces some of the best wines there are today. However, other than the numerous vineyards that are found around the city, there are a lot of other interesting things about Bordeaux. One of these is its diversity.
Coming from any hotel Calais and other French cities have, the first thing to witness in Bordeaux is the lively metropolitan. Especially at night, when urbanites go out and tourists leave their Bordeaux hotels ...
... to party, the city comes to energetic life. Bars and clubs open up and people loosen up to create a wonderfully fun ambience for everyone. This is just one exciting thing about living in this city.
There are also the quieter parts of the city where those looking for a peaceful life should stay. Nature lovers, in particular, will be pleased by the atmosphere in these areas of Bordeaux. Gardens and vineyards line certain parts of the city. These greeneries serve as great backdrops for Bordeaux living. If you want a more coastal residence, the city also has some fine beaches and seaside houses where you can settle down.
A Different Culture
The diversity is one thing that gives Bordeaux its edge among other more livable cities. Another point to consider is the distinct look and culture of the city. Some major parts of the city retain its classic features, evident in the amazing feats of architecture that remain standing up to this day. Most of the city is also found under the UNESCO World Heritage List, so that's saying something.
Culturally speaking, Bordeaux is also an important venue for art festivals both national and international. The city also boasts of a great number of museums, music and dance halls, libraries, cinemas, and theaters.
Another way the Bordeaux culture is realized is through the food served in this part of France. From luxurious seafoods like oysters and caviar to delicious pastries with mouthwatering names, the food here is totally exceptional, something no other expensive restaurants or Lyon hotels can deliver.
