According to sleep experts and their global researches, over 45% of adults experience snoring at least occasionally. Snoring can cause major problems among couples as people who snore keep others around them awake, often unaware of their own condition its influence on others around them.

A snoring mouthpiece, also known as snoring mouth guard, is a device that one can wear to stop snoring during sleep. Generally, a snoring mouthpiece or snoring mouth guard (sometimes also known as anti-snoring mouthpiece) is recommended to a person by his or her doctor after several attempts have been made to cure the snoring disorder.
These mouthpieces are designed to keep the airway open and hence allow free flow of air for proper breathing, whereas without them the airway gets blocked and the person snores, often unaware of his or her condition until informed by others. In general, a snoring mouthpiece or snoring mouth guard is a device designed to keep a person’s jaw or tongue in position during sleep. Technically, these devices prevent a person’s tongue and palate from collapsing when his or her body is resting.

The ...
... devices are made from soft plastic in order to avoid irritation in the mouth. These devices are tested through several medical trials before they are introduced in the market for safety standards.
Some snoring mouth guards work by having an extendible piece on the bottom of the device that sits behind the lower teeth. This piece holds the teeth forward as the person sleeps, in order to keep the airway open.

Many snoring mouth guards work by holding the lower jaw in a fixed position. This may cause strain on the jaw leading to aches and cramps when the wearer wakes. Some mouth guards keep the mouth fixed shut, forcing the wearer to breathe only through the nose, whereas some snoring mouthpieces allow the wearer to open and close their mouth and to breathe through the mouth during sleep. Some mouthpieces use the technique of only advancing the lower jaw forward, thereby keeping the airway open to allow free flow of air for breathing. Some snoring mouthpieces rely on making the wearer breathe through the nose, and such mouthpieces are not recommended to use when one is suffering from a cold or a congested nose, as it may worsen the condition of the cold and the congested nose.

A good snoring mouthpiece is designed to prevent snoring, but also to provide comfort to the wearer, as no one would wear a mouthpiece that stops snoring but leaves the jaws and mouth aching. Soft edges are designed to ensure that the wearer sleeps without pain and in peace at night.
