The information I am going to reveal is that weight loss is about creating a calorie deficit or in others words burning more calories than you take in. so if you take a run for 8 minutes it might be a great calorie burner. If you are not going to do so it is not going to help you. You can start with walking and then expand it to the running.
You will be able to burn more calories with cardio exercise than with strength or resistance training. According to Glenn Gaesser only strength training will not lead to an appreciateable amount of weight loss because only this doesn’t burn enough calories.
