The sleek look also helps to give a product that distinctly futuristic look. Samsung laptops like the Series 7 and Series 5 machines are extremely specialized laptops that are designed for specific tasks. They were created after years of in-house technological research and development.

Samsung Electronics is by far the best known company in the Samsung Group of companies. It is headquartered at Suwon in South Korea. The main reason why Samsung Electronics is so popular is because it represents the flagship company which is the subsidiary of the parent company. It is also the world’s largest information technology company in terms of annual revenue figures. The company has a significant presence in over eighty eight different nations with a workforce that spans more than 300,000 employees.

The subsidiary was established back in 1969 and used to produce a wide range of mostly household oriented products like televisions, air conditioners, refrigerators and also washing machines. After partnering with NEC, a Japanese electronics and computer firm, Samsung came up with more home appliances and audio visual devices as well.

To truly expand in the computer sales area, Samsung had to take a step that would be deemed revolutionary or noteworthy, and that came in the form of DRAM or Dynamic Random Access Memory. With Samsung’s announcement to start manufacturing these memory units, they gained a significant foothold in the computing industry as well.

The most noteworthy strategy moves by the company came when they decided back in 1995 that they need to shelve certain underperforming projects and instead focus on product components that would allow them time to understand how the market perceived certain consumer products. While they chose to stay away from finished consumer products, they still managed to remain in the public eye during this time thanks to clever marketing and Sports Sponsorship. One of these sponsorships was in the form of the 1998 Winter Olympics held in Nagano, Japan. Samsung was the major sponsor for the event and the brand was more than visible for the world to see. The Samsung Group was able to amass wealth due to their decision to pause manufacturing mainstream products and instead focus only on the key components, this also allowed them to use the wealth for various investment projects.

Investments into R&D allowed them various technological breakthroughs in the field of computer and phone memory. Samsung DRAM chips are revolutionary components that helped speed up many devices due to enhanced memory performances. The most noteworthy of these components are the 1 GB DRAM chip and the world’s first 8 GB NAND Memory component.

All these components and technological advancements have helped the company get a better understanding on how the market functions for consumer products, allowing them easy access to a wide knowledge base to make better consumer products again, especially Samsung laptops, computers and mobile devices.
