There are many reasons why tourists come to Egipt, but the ones that attract the biggest number of visitors are the pyramids. Although here there are also white beaches, deserts, oases and beautiful places like Hurghada, the pyramids are unique. Luckily for us, some of these monuments were kept in a good state and they can be admired even at present, so if you are interested in monuments, culture, and history you should make time for Egipt. This country reminds us of pharos, pyramids, temples and antiquities from ancient civilizations and in its centre there is the Nile which had a great influence on the economics, politics, religion and social life.

The oldest travel destination in the world has remained one of the most popular destinations among tourists worldwide having always something to offer to its visitors: desert landscapes, mountains that reach to the sea, cities full of exotic sounds and smells, Hurghada and green strips of agricultural lands. This harmony of colors and shapes and of course and the fascinating past of Egipt promises visitors an unforgettable experience of relaxation and a blend of pleasure ...
... and discovery, so if you are considering coming here, please put Hurghada on your list.

At present, there are about 110 pyramids in Egipt but unfortunately many of them are in a great disrepair and almost unrecognizable. Most of them were built as burial places for kings or queens and it was said that the pyramid represents a stairway for the king to ascend to the heavens. Historians are still debating how the Egyptians succeeded to make such a complex organization of labor and how they moved the large stone. However, the first pyramid was the Step Pyramid of king Djoser over 4,600 years ago. The pyramid had the biggest structure ever erected at Saqqara and initially its construction was in the form of a low mastaba tomb. Under this pyramid there was a complex system of corridors and a burial chamber lined with pink granite.

The first real pyramid in Egipt was created for King Sneferu and it is known as the Red Pyramid, because of its color and it was about 105 meters high and its sides measured 220 meters. However, the largest pyramid ever built was the Great Pyramid at Giza. This monument was built for king Khufu and it was finished around 2550 B.C. This pyramid in Egipt contains approximately 2,300,000 blocks of stone and it measures 230 meters in length. Its most spectacular feature is the huge sloping Grand Gallery which leads into the king's Chamber and whose walls are made of polished granite. Furthermore, adjacent to the Great Pyramid one can see the beautiful small pyramids for queens.

In Egipt, more precisely in the Giza Plateau there are two other pyramids that are worth being seen: Chephren and Menkaura. Both of these have valley temples and mortuary temples and next to the Chephren's valley there is the famous Sphinx and its temple. As you can see, there are plenty of things to be seen here and let's not forget about Hurghada which is an ideal place both for relaxation and fun. In Hurghada you will have hot days and cool nights and only two seasons: a hot summer and a mild winter
Do you want to spend a different vacation, one that allows you not only to see monuments and fascinating places but also to connect to nature? In this case Egipt is the right place for you because here you will find everything that you desire. If you come here, it would be a pity if you didn't spend at least a day in Hurghada and enjoy its crystal clear waters.
