Three Factors That Influence The Frequency With Which Kitchen Curtains Are Washed
There are some three factors that influence the frequency with which kitchen curtains are washed. That is how we end with some kitchen curtains that are washed very frequently, others that are only washed once in a while, and others still that are simply never washed at all! This phenomenon is what we are trying to investigate: knowing well that kitchen curtain washing is not one of the tasks that make it to the top of most people’s to-do lists. Yet a dirty kitchen curtain can be a major embarrassment. So most people agree that time has to be made for this particular task. What differs is the frequency with which people do it: leading us to the situation we noted earlier, where some people do it frequently, others do it every once in a while, while others simply never get around to doing it.
As it turns out, firstly, the frequency with which kitchen curtains are washed is influenced by the fabrics they are made out of. There are certain fabrics that are known to get dirty more easily than others. Those are the fabrics that, when used in making kitchen curtains, result in curtains that require more frequent cleaning. ...
... That obtains, even if the curtains are deployed in kitchens that are relatively clean (or, indeed, in kitchens that are rarely used).
Secondly, the frequency with which kitchen curtains are washed is influenced by the nature of the fuel used in the kitchen. Kitchens where the so-called ‘dirty fuels’ are used tend to have more smoke, and that makes it necessary for the curtains used on the windows of such kitchens to be washed more frequently than others. Thankfully, in most of the developed world today, the usage of such ‘dirty’ fuels is the exception rather than the norm. But when all is said and done, if you have a kitchen where the fuel used emits smoke, you can be certain that the curtains in that kitchen will require more frequent washing, whichever way you choose to look at it.
Thirdly, the frequency with which kitchen curtains are washed is influenced by the personal standards and inclinations of the person who uses the kitchen. Simply put, there are people who (perhaps by virtue of their personalities) are inclined to feel the need to wash their kitchen curtains very frequently. A few of these may be people with perfectionist tendencies, or even folks suffering from OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). Then there are others who simply don’t have such inclination: and who only get around to washing their curtains when the curtains become noticeably dirty. In between these two extremes, we have folks who just occasionally make time for the kitchen curtain washing task. They are neither too enthusiastic about the task, nor too lethargic about it. Inclinations aside, there are folks who simply can’t entertain the idea of working in kitchens adorned with curtains that haven’t been washed for several weeks. There are others who have absolutely no problem with that -- and who can actually go for months or even years, without ever thinking about the cleanliness or otherwise of their kitchen curtains.
