How To Travel Sardinia—tips For Sardinia Tourists
Are you planning your next vacation to Sardinia, the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea? If so, here are some things you have to consider during your stay in the island.
You should think of things that could maximize your travel. Sardinia is a relatively small island. It is easy to travel the whole place in just a short time, say, for seven days, if you rent a car. Trains are very slow and inconvenient inside the island that is why it is better to rent a car which you can use during your stay. However, if you want to ride the train or if you don't have any choice, you can make the trip from Macomer to Bosa Marina because this route will let you see beautiful sceneries that will take your breath away.
Go first to the places where there are activities that will interest you. If you are interested in swimming the clear blue water of the Emerald Coast and do some other water sports or you want to see museums and world heritage or archeological sites, you can choose to go to places that have the best offers. If you plan to go with you family, go to tourist spots that all family members, from your 2-year-old ...
... sdaughter to your 65-year old grandfather can enjoy. It is easy to travel Sardinia's every nook and cranny because of its size. It's up to your plan or itinerary.
It is best to travel Sardinia in autumn and spring. These seasons provide pleasant weather to the tourists and visitors—mild, cool, and balmy. The temperature is only around 14 to 17 degrees Celsius with short rainy periods. These are the best ties to do all kinds of things like swimming, water sports, hiking, biking, nature tripping, sightseeing, going to museums and historical sites, and a lot more. Summer is hot in Sardinia, but still comfortable. Winter season, from December to January, has the coldest temperature of up to 7 degrees Celsius. But you can still enjoy some activities and attractions despite the cold weather.
Peak seasons in Sardinia are usually too crowded with both tourists and locals roaming the island. Be wary of pickpockets, especially during this season when there are too many people. Don't go to places where you literally rub elbows with other tourists and locals. You might be shocked to discover that you don't have your wallet with you anymore. It is also advised to use traveller's checks instead of cash.
Be careful when doing some activities that might injure you like water sports or hiking and biking. You don't want to spend the rest of your vacation on crutches, or worse, in the hospital. It is highly recommended that you also get travel insurance for yourself and also for your whole family. Better safe than sorry.
Travelling, not just in Sardinia, is a fun thing to do. But you should know the do's and dont's to be able to enjoy your travel more.
