In the last article, I talked about how to write article summaries. In case you missed it, you can find it in my profile. As far as article writing goes, the short paragraphs tend to keep the readers focused on your content. The power of a paragraph can be limited by the length and types of transitional sentences that you use to move from one paragraph to another. It can be twice as important to focus on how you transcend from one paragraph to another without overtaxing the use of transitions.
When you decide to create your article, try to focus on content's quality. Keep your paragraphs around no more than 100 words total. The typical average length is between 50-75 words per paragraph. Keep your paragraphs focused on your topic. This means avoiding bunny trials and long-winded sentences that go almost nowhere. A good point of reference is keeping your sentences around 10-12 words each! Now how do you tie in transitions after your first paragraph?
Transitional sentences, they are the nuts and bolts that tie the paragraphs to one another. The transitional phrases are key elements at the end of every paragraph! Tying ...
... in a word or phrase such as "above all, finally, next, no doubt, of course, however, in addition, etc." can make a difference. How does it make a difference to the quality of an article? Placing such words or phrases in a tactical location within the paragraph, you can make it flow from one idea to another easier, almost like glass.
The short paragraphs that you want to write can hold up to 2-3 ideas but it is recommended to stay on the low side of the numbers. The short paragraphs that contain the transitional joints will help your readers understand the primary points. OK, as you know your introductory paragraph introduces the subject and main point! Did you know you can get more creative with it? My opening paragraph opened up a bit about article summaries but then transcended into the darkness of short paragraphs and other fun stuff.
However, you can still introduce your primary objectives without sacrificing the intro paragraph. Articles and the way that you construct the sentences can be a beautiful art. It takes patience and time to focus on the layout of the paragraph and how you want to position your message. This is why transitional sentences are important to the overall health of the paragraph. When you break your idea into two separate forces, you need a buffer? This buffer gives your reader time to reflect on the idea of the paragraph. Once they reflect, you can break their hearts with a conflict or cement the idea with another fact.
