Many people think that auto dealerships only sell cars. Some people know that dealerships usually often service cars, but the whole array of services that dealers offer often goes unnoticed. For example there are some Ford dealers in the Dallas and Arlington, TX areas that provide complete auto maintenance services. Drivers can bring in their Edge, Explorer, Focus, Fusion or other Ford car and get comprehensive service; even towing when they need it. Whether one lives in the Dallas area, or any of the surrounding areas in Texas such as Grand Prairie or Midlothian, or elsewhere in the nation, it pays to get acquainted with all the services that car dealers offer.


The main reason to investigate everything that a dealer has to offer is convenience – It will save time and trouble to get one’s car maintained and repaired at one location. The car owner will know that the technicians are familiar with the car and that it will be repaired as soon as possible.

Other advantages that dealers offer include parts specials. Often dealers will post these specials on their website or their Facebook pages. Some of these specials can provide 10% or greater savings on a variety of parts. Some dealers offer parts specials with everyday low pricing. Drivers can usually access dealers’ online parts catalogs to conveniently shop for parts.


A few dealers not only provide parts specials, but great rates on tires, too. There are dealers who provide multiple tire deals, like buy two, get two at 50% off and other clearance specials. If a driver lives in a cold weather state, they can sometimes get specials on snow tires from their car dealer. Good technicians can install snow tires quickly and get drivers back on the road fast. It can pay to talk to an auto dealer’s technicians to see what snow tires they recommend for the local climate.


While all of the aforementioned services are usually related to average drivers, auto dealers often provide services to commercial drivers as well. In fact many car dealerships sell and service commercial trucks for various applications. Commercial vehicles especially need top maintenance and care because if they are off the road for any period of time, it can affect the business’ profits. Ultimately working with a car dealer as a typical or commercial driver requires some investigation into all of the dealer’s services. Car dealers want to be one-stop resources for drivers and drivers can save time accessing all of the maintenance and repair services that dealers offer.
