Two of the most popular additions to homes that have been used for centuries are conservatories and orangeries. Both these designs work as additional rooms to the home and are built as 'glass rooms.' With these specific designs, is a rich history that has led to some of the most luxurious looks in homes.

The beginning of conservatories and orangeries come from the 17th century. This became a popular method in architecture because of the invention of glass as a substantial architectural material. Typically, the glass rooms not only made a new architectural statement, but were also associated with an individual status as the glass was known as a more expensive element attached to different rooms. The larger conservatories were well known for entertaining guests and adding into the English style of building.

From the beginning of conservatories and orangeries are specific ideals that have led to new looks enjoyed by several.
