3 Simple Ways To Get Extra Mileage Out Of Each Article You Write
You spend a lot of time writing and submitting articles. You may as well get as much mileage as possible from each one. Here are three simple ways to make sure you get more expose, more traffic and eventually more subscribers and customers from each article.
Promote Your Promotions
Article marketing is a great way to promote your website. It will work even better if you promote this promotion. It doesn't have to be complicated. When you publish a great article to an article directory, take a few minutes to send out a tweet and post a link on Facebook. Social media is a great way to get extra exposure to your articles.
If you see an article starting to rank in the search engines, write and submit one or two additional articles to different directories and link back to your original article. This is often enough to boost it up even further in the search results, giving you more traffic and exposure.
If you are using social bookmarking sites like Delicious or Stumbleupon, take some time each week to bookmark your articles.
Just a little bit of extra work done to promote your promotions is enough to ...
... make you stand apart from your competition and give you better results for each article you submit.
Reuse Your Content
Once you've written an article, think about how you can use it again. There are all sorts of different ways to reuse your content. Here are just a few to get you started.
Take a small portion of the article and use it as a tweet or Facebook post. Link back to the full article for extra traffic and exposure.
Record yourself reading the article. Post the recording to your blog or a podcasting site.
Take some screenshots of the topic you're talking about or create a quick PowerPoint presentation with the outline of your article. Use screen capture software to record a video and upload it to Youtube.com.
Compile 5 to 8 articles into a short report. Add an introduction along with some recommended resources and submit the report to document sharing sites like Scribd.com.
Are you starting to get the idea? I'm sure that you'll come up with plenty of other ways to reuse your content once you get in the habit of doing this every time you write and submit an article to an article directory.
Keep Track And Multiply
Last but not least it's important to keep track of what's working well and what isn't. To multiply your success you just do more of what's currently working. How does this apply to article marketing? Submit articles to a few different article directories and see which one ends up bringing you the most targeted traffic.
Keep track of your author resource boxes and see which ones get the best click-through rates. Create more resource boxes along those lines.
The same goes for article topics and titles. See what's getting good results and then come up with more articles on the same topic or with a similar title.
