Allon4 Dental Implant Protocol: Saving Patients On The Cost Of Brand New Teeth,2
Welcome to the second installment of this four-part article series on the cost of brand new teeth and how the All-On-4 drastically undercuts the costs involved in traditional dental implant protocols. In our previous article post, we mentioned that traditional dental implant procedures could frequently require as many as 10 implants per jaw in order to give patients new teeth. This would equate to 20 implants if a patient needed both their upper and lower sets of teeth replaced. The first significant problem with this was, at $3,000 to $4,000 apiece, the exorbitant cost of having 10 or even 20 dental implants placed!
The second significant problem with this is the fact that there is often not enough bone in the jaws to surgically place 20 dental implants!! This means many will need bone grafting prior to implants being placed in order to add more bone.
The Price of New Teeth: From Multiple Surgeries to Only One Procedure
Getting 20 dental implants surgically placed in a single sitting would not only be extremely traumatic for the patient, it would also increase the risk of complications and implant failure. ...
... As such, fixed oral rehabilitation using traditional dental implant protocols would typically be broken down into multiple surgeries spread out over the course of 12 to 18 months. Patients would be required to come in every few months or so for surgery to have more dental implants placed and the costs of each procedure would add up tremendously. This is not even to mention:
The cost of all follow-up appointments,
The wasted expense of multiple temporaries,
The time spent off from work while in recovery,
The inconvenience and disruption of time spent while recovering,
The repeat discomfort of multiple surgeries.
With traditional dental implant procedures, oral rehabilitation was an arduous journey. Granted, the results would be worth it, but with the innovation of the All-On-4, all of this changed. No longer would patients need to cover the direct cost of multiple surgeries and anesthetist bills and the indirect costs of time spent off from work. In one day and with only a single surgery, the “All-On-4™” could achieve what used to require over a year.
The All-On-4 Difference…
One of the biggest benefits of the All-On-4 is that it typically only requires a single procedure to give patients brand new teeth! And this is done through the strategic placement and orientation of only four dental implants; something that is easily and safely achieved in a single sitting.
Two dental implants are inserted towards the back of the jawbone, in the region of the second and third molars. They are also angulated so as to allow for maximum jawbone support, while avoiding trauma to vital oral structures such as the sinus cavity and nerve canal.
Another two dental implants are inserted in the front portion of the jaw, in close proximity to the chin. Here, the bone tissue is typically more resistant to the atrophy caused by tooth loss. So, even if a patient has been living without teeth or with removable dentures for many years, the progression of bone loss in this region won’t compromise their ability to receive dental implants.
In addition to the need for fewer dental implants, the need for fewer surgeries is how the All-On-4 helps to save patients tens of thousands of dollars on the cost of brand new teeth.
