Beach Holidays In The Venetian Area
Beaches are not the first things that come to mind when you think of Italy as a holiday destination, but nevertheless, the country boasts of some of the best Mediterranean and Adriatic beaches in the world. If you are going to Italy, then you must be going to Venice and if you are planning to go to Venice, then you should definitely include a day or two in your itinerary for visiting the beautiful and world renowned beaches of Jesolo and Bibione.
Beach holidays in the Venetian area have been quite popular ever since the 19th century when the Lido de Jesolo became well known amongst the jet setters. Slowly and gradually with the help of rapid investment by the Venetians and the Lombards, the resort built itself into a beautiful and tourist friendly beach complete with hotels, shopping centers, restaurants, camp sites, villas and sports facilities. Lido di Jesolo can be reached through water buses and you can either try visiting it just for the day or book yourself an accommodation for a day or two and try to enjoy all the various activities that this resort offers. Apart from its beautiful and lively beach, you can go ...
... for excursions in its pine forests or for rides in the lagoons.
This is one of the best places for a family beach holiday because of the vast number of things that you can do here. Apart from lazing on the beach and trekking in the forests, you can try your hand at a number of water sports. On the other hand, the shopping center here boasts of some of the best designer names that you can think of and the area can easily be labeled a shopaholic's paradise. Your kids will love the festival like atmosphere on the beach and in the town and a steady diet of pizza, pasta and ice cream, available in a variety of different flavors at street side stalls will keep them happy and fulfilled. The night life is rocking and while the night clubs here are not cheap, they definitely make for great experiences. If you have never taken an Adriatic Sea vacation before, then make Jesolo a compulsory part of your Italian itinerary. If you would prefer to visit the Adriatic beaches but those with lesser crowds, then you can try the resort towns of Bibione and Caorle, which offer a lot of the same excitement of Jesolo, but at a slower pace.
Whichever beach resort you plan to visit, just make sure that your holiday reservations in Bibione, Caorle and Jesolo are done before you reach these places. Italy and its beach resorts are among the most popular tourist destinations in the world and landing up without hotel reservations can prove to be quite problematic, especially during peak tourist season. You can easily make your holiday reservations simply by going to one of the many websites that book your accommodations in Italy online.
