Nimaj is a beautiful small village of Marwar region, situated in the district of Pali in Rajasthan. It is around 110 kms from Jodhpur. There are numerous places in this village, where one can visit. Osiyan
During a tour of Rajasthan, one would surely visit Osiyan, which is an ancient town in the Jodhpur district of Rajasthan. Because of the numerous famous temples, it is famously known as the Khajuraho of Rajasthan. It is an oasis in the famous and the vast Thar desert. Osiyan is considered as a sacred center of Jain Pilgrimage, as it was a religious place for the Marwar Kingdom. One can visit the ancient temples built during 8th to 11th century. Surya or Sun temple, Kali temple, Sachiya Mata temple are some of the famous temples in Osiyan. The gracious and splendid architecture of the Jain temple, which is dedicated to Lord Mahaveera, is worth appreciating.

Jaisalmer
It was founded by the Rajput King, Maharawal Jaisal Singh and hence, has been named after him. The literal meaning of Jaisalmer is Fort of Jaisal. Jaisalmer is one of the most beautiful cities of Rajasthan and is known as the golden city, as there are yellow sands everywhere. Moreover, yellow sandstone is used in each and every architecture of the city, which renders a yellowish golden shade to Jaisalmer. This place is known for the famous havelis (bungalows) – Patwon Ki Haveli, Salim Singh Ki Haveli and Nathmalji Ki Haveli. There is a magnificent bastion called the Golden Forts and splendid Jain temples. Desert festival of Jaisalmer is held in the month of February every year and people travel from far remote places to take part in the cultural events like, Camel race, turban tying competition, man with the biggest moustache, colorful folk dance and songs, and many more. Sitting high on a camel, one can watch the glamorous sunset and the magical natural shapes of sand dunes. People love to spend a fabulous vacation amidst the golden sands of the Thar desert.

Jodhpur
It is the second largest city in Rajasthan and was founded by Rao Jodha of Rathore Clan. The exquisite Umaid Bhawan Palace is an example of the Indo colonial architecture of the 30s. A portion of the palace has been converted into a heritage hotel and the remaining serves as a museum for the tourists. The other distinct attractions of Jodhpur are Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace and Jaswant Thada, Mandore Garden, which reflects the rich culture of this region.
