You don’t have to be rich or famous to leave a legacy. Your memories, experiences and life are priceless and matter to your loved ones. There are a variety of ways you can preserve and share your legacy. The use of pictures, video and journals are among the most effective ways to communicate and share your legacy. What matters most is that you do something to preserve your legacy.

Your life and memories can make the difference in someone elses life. You have a story to tell. Your experiences helped shaped who you are and you can help others learn from your mistakes & success. When you create your legacy, you decide what is most important to communicate about your life. The pictures and videos you choose shed light into pivotal moments in your life. If you have old journals, love letters or news articles you can scan them and include them in your legacy. There are endless ways to tell your story.

The task of writing your story doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Going through old pictures and reminiscing is both fun and rewarding. The pictures that matter most to you are worth preserving and sharing the stories ...
... behind them. When you journal, brainstorm on what moments had the greatest impact. Maybe it was a dream you had as a child, a college or career choice, the time you met your spouse or the thoughts you had when your children were born. Find the significant moments and write about them.

Video legacies are another unique way to share your story, your personality, presence and voice. You get to narrate your own life story. What matters is that you take the time to share what you think is most important about your life. By dedicating time to writing your legacy, you are ensuring your memories will not fade away.

Life is journey and in the blink of an eye, all that you know and love can change. Time makes no promises to anyone and time is the one think you can’t get back. There are moments that go by too fast, like summer breaks, Christmas, vacations and the growth of our children. It’s up to each of us to make the most of our time here on earth. If you don’t take the time to preserve and share your legacy, all that you worked for & cared about could be lost. Don’t let that happen to you.
