Clothes
Most people concur that food, water, energy and transport are the key factors in environmental impact, but perhaps they dont have knowledge about clothing. It's probable that still regular organic food-eaters may be dressed in materials laden with toxic chemicals. In fact, cotton is one of the major pesticide-sprayed crops in the world, and very clear that our clothes too would have {considerable environmental impact. But now organic cotton and choice of different materials like bamboo, hemp, and flax is becoming obtainable; as also trendy articles made from recycled resources.

Personal care
People are becoming more and more aware of the health and ecological impacts of personal care products. More sustainable, eco-friendly alternatives have been given by an increasing number of companies. However when you make your mind to go eco-friendly, little is always more - going ecological takes you one step close to Nature.

Furniture and décor
Lot of people spend significant amount on furniture. Certainly purchasing hardwood from Amazon forests is not an eco-friendly process, however ...
... one will get surprised about the alternatives. No problem, furnishings made from sustainably harvested, recycled or reprocessed resources are now obtainable.

Waste
Until now, litter was the major environmental problem. If you recycled, you were eco-friendly and if you dont, you weren't. Now with several problems on the environmental front, matters are not simple. however waste still continues to be a major problem. Every article going to trash has consumed power and sources in manufacturing and shipping; more power and sources will be spent in processing and disposal either through recycling or landfill. The eco-friendly idea of 'Condense - Reprocess - Recycle' assumes more importance. Also remember that organic waste can be composted.

Clean home
Once you've put your house in accordance with organic materials and toxin-free furniture, it is not essential to use chemicals to keep the house clean. Common household clean-up agents are laden with harmful chemicals; look for eco-friendly, ecological alternatives which are equally good in cleaning-up your house.
