Nature Is Untamed That Has Been Proved Again

Too much development is not accepted by the Mother Nature; has been proved in the great catastrophe in Uttakashi, the Himalayan range. The recent Himalayan Disaster has shown that it will not tolerate any harm of nature caused by rapid urbanization, deforestation, unplanned construction of dams and buildings. The massive landslide, overflow of rivers in Gangotri have snatched many lives and the whole habitat area. The flood has been termed as manmade disaster and opened the door to the engulfing Global warming. Nature is untamed. It has been proved again. Now the question is how the civilized people have learnt the lesson.


Development is very much crucial way to lift and improve the life of backward section, places or society. Mining is another area. When there is excess mining it totally makes the whole area intolerable for sustaining of natural eco system. Shinning society reflects the improvement of one’s country. But too much of anything can misled and destroy our surroundings. In the twentieth century, we have already witnessed such things and would find also.

... of human gradually increases. So they try to get settlements. The Earth is the greatest architecture. In the world we find someplace where it is unsuitable for human. But they forcefully situates in this area. In the historic time man made it suitable to sustain there but not destroying the ecology. But the civilized society is totally destroying and polluting the place and making it forcefully livable. The Uttarakhand has been example for that. Lots of hydro project, making shanty, urban homes in the eco sensitive area have been enormous. In the Power project there is lots of motor pumps to release or control the water flow in the downstream. It forcefully controls the water flow. And making the engineering structure safe from any natural calamity, in the monsoon time the heavy volume of water is released. It brings flood in the lower valley and the adjoining areas. And it is totally unnatural event. When the cloudburst occurs it brings catastrophe which has been witnessed in the Himalayan Disaster. It affects the ecology system of this place. Due to excess of firming, and deforesting they can face flood. Due to lack of knowledge, huge building construction, cheap hotels and individual dwelling, hydropower project we face the nature’s disaster. In the river side area we face this problem. Due to human’s activity against nature they fetch the danger. Most downstream smashing is caused by dams and barrages on the river. In this area, discharge of large amount of water to keep safe the engineering structures is evident that it is manipulation of river which never be accepted.


Technologically improved engineering is definitely required to do development. Using different kind of machine and electrical pumps are necessary. But its excessive is always harmful and can never be beneficial for progress of human society. Hope, in near future we will take lesson from it and protest such kind of activities for the corporate interest.
