Airsoft Sniper Rifles
Airsoft guns are popular sport guns that use other than live firing principles to launch plastic projectiles. These guns may be manual, semi-automatic or automatic in nature. These guns are designed to be replicas of famous original weapons such as pistols, rifles and grenades. The principle of operation can either be piston driven or gas driven. Gas driven guns use green gas and carbon dioxide gas or simple air used in a compressed form. Piston driven guns can either depend on cocking a spring manually or using an electric motor to drive the spring and firing assembly.

People need licenses and admittance in many parts of the world to acquire these replica weapons. They are also commonly used by police and military for training purposes. These guns are also used by the film industry many times to replicate the use of real and dangerous firearms. These guns are designed in a way not to mortally hurt people. Airsoft guns use plastic pellets which although can hurt but do not penetrate inside human body.

Spring Airsoft Guns
Spring airsoft guns depend on the elastic potential energy ...
... of a loaded spring for its energy. These guns are often used as Airsoft Sniper Rifles. The user of the gun is required to load or cock the spring first which stores potential energy in the spring. It is done by pulling back the top pistol slide or the bottom grip of a shotgun style airsoft gun. Bolt is loaded in case of the gun working as a rifle. These spring-loaded mechanical guns are incapable of achieving any automated operation due to the lack of any power source.

These guns are although less powerful than gas driven guns but usually pack a greater punch than the electric powered guns. Airsoft Sniper Rifles working on spring action can fire projectiles at blistering speeds of 700 ft/s. These guns are usually less expensive than other airsoft guns although the high end sniper models can be more costly. As these guns solely depend on piston operation, they are more susceptible to wear and tear. These guns can be modified to increase the life cycle as well as shooting accuracy.

Usually electric guns also use springs especially for blowbacks but they are not in the same league as spring powered guns. Low end manual spring guns are the cheapest airsoft guns. These guns have simple internal assembly as they lack electrical and other linking components necessary in electric airsoft guns. High end Airsoft Sniper Rifles are not very suitable for combat and skirmish games but they find their use in marksman competitions. These guns are also reliably used in all weather conditions whereas gas and electric operated guns face problems at subzero temperatures.

Spring powered weapons are both desired as shotguns and sniper rifles due to their simple structure and easy availability. These guns are also exclusively used by new airsoft and skirmish players. The Airsoft Sniper Rifles are easily available usually on local departmental stores while specific shops are needed to find electric guns and their equipment.
