The main part of this building is 141 feet high and 356 feet long; the 11 feet high Swaminarayan statue is located in the central dome along with other Murtis(statues). These statues are made of five metals in accordance with the Hindu mythology. Shahjanand Pradarshan

This is probably the first hall in the history of the temples where the smallest animatronics robot is used as Ghamshyam Maharaj. Many other life incidents of Bhagwan Swaminarayan are used in different forms for the visitors to have a better understanding.

Nilkanth Kalyan Yatra

Second hall of this temple is fitted with a large screen to show the complete life journey of Lord Swaminarayan. This is Delhi’s first and only screen with a height of 85 foot (25 m) and length 65 foot (20 m). This IMAX Theater shows a specially commissioned film known as Nelkanth Yatra. It was made by Bhagwan Swaminarayan when he was a teenager. First international version of this film was released in year 2005.

Many other parts of this temple are Sanskruti Vihar, Yagnapurush Kund (largest step well in India). A light, sound and fountain show also attracts s a lot of visitors and this is held in evening. The temple premises also have a cafeteria where you can relish vegetarian dishes only. The astonishing part is that nearly 5000 people can dine here and vegetarian food is served.

This temple also holds the Guinness world record for the World’s largest Comprehensive Hindu Temple. This world record was given on 17 December 2007 for the Akshardham complex.
