Choosing A Wedding Suits By Suit Row
If you are the groom looking for a wedding suit that has that little bit of extra 'dash' to it, then your big wedding day really is your chance to make a statement., in a elegant and respectful manner of course.
At Suit Row, we always believe in encouraging the groom to be really unique. For example, you may choose to wear a 3 piece lounge (business) suit to get married in, so what we would advise is that maybe go for a sharp electric blue wedding suit with a baby pink lining. You can be pretty sure that no other person will be wearing an electric blue 3 piece wedding suit on that day.
If you choose to wear a dinner jacket to get married in, then why not have some subtle velvet touches on the jacket. For example, a black tuxedo with maybe dark purple buttons on it. This still keeps the jacket elegant but adds a touch of color to your wedding suit.
The other option is to wear morning dress. Now despite its name, morning dress can be worn at anytime during the day. The main part of morning dress is the morning coat. This is a long curved jacket which has points/tails at the back. You could in theory, make ...
... this any color you require but Grey or black is the norm. But with this type of wedding suit, you could use your accessories to add color.
Whatever option you go for, Suit Row can help create the perfect wedding suit for your big day.
If you have been invited to a wedding, your invitation may specify a particular dress code for the special occasion. The dress code of a wedding suit could be either a lounge (business) suit, a dinner jacket or morning dress.
If you were to wear a lounge suit as your wedding suit then we can agree that the jacket and trousers would match. You would also wear a standard shirt and tie. The color and fabric of the wedding suit will very much depend on the time of year, weather, theme of the wedding and your own personal preferences. One thing to think carefully about when being a guest at a wedding is not to up dress the groom. This can look a little rude so we would suggest avoiding bright colors or bold patterns, unless your invitation asks for a particular theme, in which case work within those parameters.
One final point to remember when choosing a wedding suit as either the groom or guest is the cut of the suit. Cut is maybe the most important element of the entire suit. You can wear a polyester suit, but cut well, will look amazing. On the other hand, you could wear a super 150 pure wool/silk wedding suit not fitting you well, and it will look bad. So our advice would be to focus on cut first, fabric second then personal touches at the end.
