Humayun’s Tomb is another exemplary example of the Mughal era and demands a visit as well. This structure is the combination of Persian style and local craftsmanship. A stroll in the garden of this tomb in the evening is worth trying. Located in the close proximity of Humayun’s Tomb is Nizamuddin Dargah. This religious place can be visited on Thursdays for the special qawwali (devotional music) performance.

To make your trip interesting, a trip to the Imperial hotel is a must. This old fashioned yet elegant hotel takes you back in time of the days of the Raj. Look at the architecture and the great work of arts that are preserved well here. Another must try in the city is shopping in the Janpath market. This place is rightly called the temple of Indian crafts. The market lies in proximity to Connaught Place.

Linger around Lodhi Gardens on a Sunday afternoon; this place is unique for the kind of crowd that it entertains. One must also visit the district of Hauz Khas, which crumbles with majestic Mughal tombs and tempting art, antique and also the fashion boutiques. Try the great Gujarati thali at immaculate Rajdhani, opposite Rivoli cinema in Connaught place. This delicacy will surely treat your taste buds to the fullest.

Delhi offers good connectivity with Mumbai and invites the Deccan to experience its unforgettable delight. There are more than 400 weekly flights from Mumbai to Delhi. GoAir, SpiceJet, Air India and Jet Airways are few domestic airlines that operate between the two destinations.
